Response

Please state the number of dog poo bins that were in place in your area in:

The Service Area have advised that it has been agreed between Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP) to phase out dedicated dog bins and to utilise the standard public litter bins instead to cater for the waste. The assets are categorised as waste bins and not differentiated between types of bins.

a) 2024

1302

b) 2023

1310

c) 2022

1500 - Please note this figure is an approximate figure. The Service Area have confirmed they did not hold any accurate records of bins on the network then, only approximate figures based on historical mapping data.

If the number has declined, what was the reason for this?

Numbers have declined over the past few years mainly due to the agreement to phase out dedicated dog bins and utilise the standard public litter bins to cater for the waste. Additionally any damaged bins have not been replaced.
