Q1. In 2015/16 and 2020/21, the average length of time a household spent waiting to be moved into permanent social housing.

Q2. In 2015/16 and 2020/21, the average length of time a household/person spent living in temporary accommodation. (Typically, are these individuals subsequently moved into permanent social housing once they leave TA?)

Q3. As of 4 July 2022, a breakdown of how many people in each of your housing need/priority bands are waiting to be moved into permanent housing. (Can you please include the average waiting time for the different housing need/priority bands, as well as the longest wait people are experiencing in each group?)

Q4. As of 4 July 2022, the number of people in your council area currently living in temporary accommodation who are: Children; victims of domestic abuse; medically unwell and require appropriate housing to suit their needs; suffering from a mental illness; victims of violence and/or gang-related/physical threats.

Q1. In 2015/16 and 2020/21, the average length of time a household spent waiting to be moved into permanent social housing.

2015/16 - average 206 days

2020/21 - average 274 days

Q2. In 2015/16 and 2020/21, the average length of time a household/person spent living in temporary accommodation. (Typically, are these individuals subsequently moved into permanent social housing once they leave TA?)

2015/16 - average 252 days

2020/21 - average 79 days

Typically, individuals are moved into secure accommodation which can be social housing or private rented accommodation.

Q3. As of 4 July 2022, a breakdown of how many people in each of your housing need/priority bands are waiting to be moved into permanent housing. (Can you please include the average waiting time for the different housing need/priority bands, as well as the longest wait people are experiencing in each group?)

Band A - households on the register: 106; average waiting time: 294 days; longest waiting time: 2271 days

Band B - households on the register: 928; average waiting time 529 days; longest waiting time: 4536 days

Band C - households on the register: 184; average waiting time 763 days; longest waiting time: 3433 days

Band D - households on the register: 38; average waiting time 263 days; longest waiting time: 697 days

Band E - households on the register: 272; average waiting time 489 days; longest waiting time: 1551 days
