Questions regarding all dog breeding licenses, per year from 2017 - 2021:
1. Total number of licensed dog breeding establishments within the local authority, per year from 2017 – 2021.
2. Total number of licensed dog breeding establishments with quarantine/isolation facilities, per year from 2017 – 2021.
Questions regarding each dog breeding licensed establishment, for 2021 only:
3. The number, breed and age of all breeding bitches, in each dog breeding licensed establishment (in 2021).
4. Breed(s) of male stud(s)/father(s), if different to mother’s breed (in 2021).

Questions regarding all dog breeding licenses, per year from 2017 - 2021:
1. Total number of licensed dog breeding establishments within the local authority, per year from 2017 – 2021.
A: Pre Animal Welfare, Licensing of Activities Involving Animals Regulations 2018 (LAIA 2018) coming in – 4 licences held in 2017
Post LAIA 2018 regulations coming in (2018-2021) – 2 licences held in 2018 (Granted after October), 19 licences held in 2019, 16 licences held in 2020 and 19 licenced held in 2021
2. Total number of licensed dog breeding establishments with quarantine/isolation facilities, per year from 2017 – 2021.
A: As per the LAIA regulations all dog breeding establishments have to have quarantine facilities available to them either onsite or with an agreed external establishment such as vets.
Pre LAIA 2018 Regulations there was no condition to the Breeding Of Dogs Acts 1973 & 1991 licence requiring dog breeding establishments to have isolation facilities.
