Response

1. Does the Council have a plan in place to increase the number of electric vehicle charging points?

Yes, the council has partnered with Gamma, Wenea to deliver a significant expansion of the existing charge point network over the coming three years including the number of publicly available charge points in council car parks.

2. If so, how many new charging points are expected to be in place by the end of 2023?

Gamma, Wenea are currently reviewing the available council car parks and working with the district network operator to understand the potential at each site. A plan is due to be presented to the council by the end of the year, however, at this stage we do not have exact numbers for 2023.
