I write under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 in relation to the use of zero hours contracts by the unitary authority.

Please could you provide the following information:

Q1. Whether the authority has a policy regarding the use of zero hour contracts?

Q2. The total number and percentage of employees employed on zero hour contracts?

There is no policy regarding the use of zero hour contracts.

As at 12 July 2022, 102 employees (7.25%) have a casual contract with the Council.
