1. Who are the contacts for planning and licensing training for councillors within the council?
For licensing it will be Marc Willimont (Head of Service) and Claire Corfield (Service Manager).
2. What method of training do the council use (eg. classroom, on demand or blended)?
Before the pandemic, training was delivered to all members in a classroom style face to face following their election to office or any other matter such as a new policy. Since that date it has been virtual via Zoom although this may be reviewed.
3. Who do the council use to deliver the planning and licensing training for councillors?
Officers deliver this for mandatory training after being elected as members and also for those members who will sit on the licensing sub committees.
4. How much have you spent on planning and licensing training per annum over the last 5 years?
Costs for the newly elected members and committee positions are not recorded as the training is currently delivered in-house by officers.
