Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to please request the following information relating to nicotine product safety recalls. Please provide the following information for the 2025 calendar year (1 January to 31 December):
1. The number of formal product safety recalls relating to nicotine-containing products issued, initiated, or recorded by your local authority.
2. Where recorded, please provide a breakdown of the above information by the following:
- Product type (e.g. nicotine pouches, vapes, cigarettes, etc)
- Reason for recall (e.g. excessive nicotine content, incorrect labelling, chemical risk, etc)
- Enforcement action (e.g. product withdrawal, product destruction, fine or penalties, etc)
If the information is held in a different format or under a broader category, I would be grateful if you could provide the closest available data and explain how it is categorised.
