I would like to request the following information regarding homeless presentations to the local authority under the Freedom of Information Act.

1. How many refugee/asylum seeker households presented to the local authority as homeless in October, November and December 2023 providing the reason for homelessness as "Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support".

Of these how many were owed:

a) Relief duty

b) Prevention duty Please provide data broken down by month and supply data up to the latest month that you have available.

4 households recorded as having Refugee status approached Herefordshire Council stating they were homeless or threatened with homelessness.

0 households recorded as Asylum Seeker status approached Herefordshire Council stating they were homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Of the above 0 households were recorded as reason for homelessness/threatened with homelessness was "Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support".

November 2023

1 household recorded as having Refugee status approached Herefordshire Council stating they were homeless or threatened with homelessness.

0 households recorded as Asylum Seeker status approached Herefordshire Council stating they were homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Of the above 0 households were recorded as reason for homelessness/threatened with homelessness was "Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support".

December 2023

2 households were recorded as having Refugee status approached Herefordshire Council stating they were homeless or threatened with homelessness.

0 households were recorded as Asylum Seeker status approached Herefordshire Council stating they were homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Of the above 0 households were recorded as reason for homelessness/threatened with homelessness was "Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support".

Over the 3 month period above there were 0 households recorded as having Refugee status or Asylum Seeker status who were homeless/threatened with homelessness due to being "Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support" and therefore there were 0 households recorded as being owed either a Prevention or Relief Duty on grounds of being: "Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support".
