1. Does the council currently accept new referrals for any of the following:
DWP Appointeeship
Corporate Appointeeship
Property and Affairs Deputyship
Managed Account or Money Management services
2. If yes, which types of cases are accepted?
3. Are these services delivered by the council directly or by an external provider?
4. If delivered by an external provider, please provide the provider's name.
5. Where the council does not accept referrals, which organisations are social workers, care professionals, families or clients signposted to?
6. Does the council maintain a preferred, approved or signposting list of organisations providing financial affairs, appointeeship or deputyship services?

DWP Appointeeship
Answer: Yes (Corporate Only).
Corporate Appointeeship
Answer: Yes.
Property and Affairs Deputyship
Answer: Yes.
Managed Account or Money Management services
Answer: No.
2. If yes, which types of cases are accepted?
Answer: Deputyship referrals are assessed for suitability for appointment of a lay deputy on a case-by-case basis.
3. Are these services delivered by the council directly or by an external provider?
Answer: Council directly in the first instance. Where a deputyship referral is not accepted, an application is made to appoint a panel deputy.
4. If delivered by an external provider, please provide the provider's name.
Answer: Non-Applicable.
5. Where the council does not accept referrals, which organisations are social workers, care professionals, families or clients signposted to?
Answer: If referral is not accepted an application is made to appoint panel deputy.
6. Does the council maintain a preferred, approved or signposting list of organisations providing financial affairs, appointeeship or deputyship services?
Answer: No - applications are made to appoint a panel deputy through the Court of Protection process.
