Request
Under FOI, I would like to know about complaints filed by members of the public, or by council staff, or other councillors, against Ross-on-Wye Town Councillors and Ross-on-Wye Ward County Councillors, that have been filed to the Monitoring Officer. I assume there won't be too many, so I'd like these to go back over the last 10 years.
This is in the public interest to ascertain the amount of complaints, and what has happened as a result of them. Can you provide a simple table of anonymized data.
Columns can be: (If any councillor has had more than one complaint, simply refer to them as the same anonymised coded name, with a row for each complaint) - Councillor "X" - Town Council or County Council capacity (the complaint filed in relation to their duties as) - Political Party - Complaint Month & Year - Filed by (Public / Internal) (Internal means complaint filed by Council staff or another Councillor) - Investigation Launched (Yes / No) - Upheld or Rejected
Response
A: Please see attached spreadsheet with columns as requested. Please note, we do not routinely collect political party information and the answer to ‘Investigation Launched’ means that there has been an acceptance and consideration of the complaint at the initial assessment stage. We only hold data as far back as 2024.
