Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to know how much and who is paying for this project, is it coming out of the Rate Payers pocket?
Response
The Widemarsh Improvement Scheme is part of a £6m package of Hereford City Centre Improvements (HCCI) which is funded 50% from Herefordshire Council capital and 50% from a central government Get Building Fund administered through the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership.
The available budget for the Widemarsh Improvement Scheme is £1,252,669.77. However, please note that the cost may be less than this and we are unable to confirm the total cost until the scheme has been fully completed.
