I am writing to request information about the council's enforcement of the Renters' Rights Act 2025. For the period 1 May 2026 to 31 August 2026, please provide:
1. The number of complaints or reports received about suspected breaches or offences under the Renters' Rights Act 2025.
2. The number of notices of intent to impose a civil penalty issued under the Act.
3. The number of final civil penalty notices issued under the Act, and the total value of those penalties.
4. For questions 1 and 3, a breakdown by type of breach or offence, using the following categories where possible: * Rental bidding, or failing to state a proposed rent when advertising * Discrimination against applicants who receive benefits or have children * Requiring rent in advance or pre-tenancy payments * Fixed-term tenancy, written statement of terms or information sheet failures * Unlawful eviction or harassment * Misuse of possession grounds (e.g. re-letting or marketing during a restricted period) * Other (please specify)
If the council records this information using different categories, please provide the breakdown using its own categories. If the information is not held as a specific Renters' Rights Act category, please provide the closest relevant figures and state what they include, rather than undertaking a manual review of individual case files.

Answer: Unlawful eviction or harassment = 3 Fixed-term tenancy =1
2. The number of notices of intent to impose a civil penalty issued under the Act.
Answer: Fixed-term tenancy = 1.
3. The number of final civil penalty notices issued under the Act, and the total value of those penalties.
Answer: 0.
