I would like to request data showing what percentage of the affordable housing agreed under Section 106 planning obligations in this local authority since the beginning of 2010 to the present day has been:
a) delivered
b) is in development
c) yet to begin development
Response
I would like to request data showing what percentage of the affordable housing agreed under Section 106 planning obligations in this local authority since the beginning of 2010 to the present day has been:
a) delivered
A) Approx. 35% but the Service Area can confirm from 2011-2024 there were 1,658 units delivered.
b) is in development
A) The percentage can fluctuate depending on the development site and the request for affordable housing, but the Service Area can confirm for 2024-2025 there are currently 217 units in development.
c) yet to begin development
A) The percentage can fluctuate depending on the development site and the request for affordable housing, but the Service Area can confirm from 2025 – 2028 there are currently 482 units yet to begin development.
The Service Area have advised “yet to begin development” could include a range of applications that have secured planning permission/are in the process of securing planning permission or are on the pipeline for discussion, therefor the 482 units could increase or decrease.
The Service Area have also advised the information for affordable housing above is from 2011 because they record information in line with the local plan, which is 2011-2031, and are therefore unable to provide the data from 2010.
