Response

1. The Head/Manager of Garden Waste Collection, their contact details including their job title, email address and telephone number.

Herefordshire Council does not have a specific manager for garden waste. However, the Waste Services Manager is Nicola Percival - Nicola.percival@herefordshire.gov.uk Telephone - 01432 260991

If you are a company intending to use the names and contact details of the council officer provided in this response for direct marketing, you must be registered with the Information Commissioner to process personal data for this purpose. You must also check that the individual (whom you wish to contact for direct marketing purposes) is not registered with one of the preference services to prevent direct marketing. If they are you must adhere to this preference. You must also ensure you comply with the Privacy Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). For more information see www.ico.org.uk

For the avoidance of doubt, the provision of individual names and contact details under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 does not give consent to receive direct marketing via any media and expressly does not constitute a 'soft opt-in' under PECR.

2. How many subscriptions the council currently has on their system?

Herefordshire Council does not have a subscription service for garden waste. Pre-paid garden waste sacks can be purchased by householders from various outlets.

3. How much do you charge for this service?

4. The duration of the service, i.e. weekly, fortnightly, how weeks/ months of the year do you operate?

Residents place their garden waste sacks out with their black bins / sacks on rubbish collection week, as and when required - so it is effectively available on a fortnightly basis. The service is available all year.

Rolls of sacks are available on a click and collect basis for collection from Hereford, Belmont, Colwall, Kington, Ledbury, Leintwardine, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye libraries, are ordered online through the council's website, or over the phone to our customer services team. Alternatively sacks can be purchased over the counter at a number of agreed non-council outlets across the county.
