I am trying to get some historical context of the economics of blacksmithing in Hereford. I would like some information about the old benches at Eign Gate, commissioned in 2005 with the blacksmith Lawrence Walker. What I want to know is:
How much was the project overall?
How much was paid to the blacksmith, Lawrence?
How many benches were made?
Response
In response to the above questions, Herefordshire Council no longer holds any information relating to this project. Due to the length of time which has passed since the project was commissioned any records that were held have since been securely destroyed in accordance with the council's records retention schedule.
