The fee charged for the Hereford Mayfair in 2023 was £43,000

The cost of removing the large plant /seat tubs from Hightown and Commercial Street

The costs of the removal of the planters in 2023 are not known at the time of writing. It is anticipated that this information will be available at the end of July. If you wish to be provided with these figures you will need to submit a further request at that time. However, please note that we are unable to breakdown the costs to just the removal of planters in High Town and Commercial Street, the costs will be for the removal of the planters for Hereford City as a whole.

and the loss of income from the parking spaces in Gaol Street carpark whilst the plant tubs are being stored.

The loss of income on the Gaol Street car park attributed to the planters and fork lift truck is estimated to be £1,349. In reality the actual loss of income to the council is minimal as any motorists unable to find a parking space would likely to be displaced to another city centre car park, albeit some may be displaced to a privately run car park.

I also request the reason for keeping the 15 ton fork lift on hire parked in the carpark.

A designated parking area for the fork lift was agreed as part of the May Fair planning and removal of planters to allow manoeuvrability to carry out the operation. However, the area was not cordoned off and other drivers subsequently parked in the area. This caused a delay in operations. Once a number of the planters were returned the fork lift area was opened up for parking whilst a sufficient area was kept cordoned off to return the remaining planters later on the Friday night. Once cleared, this area was opened up again.
