Whilst hunting dogs are not mentioned in your PSPO/dog fouling, please can you confirm that hunting dogs are NOT exempt?

Response

Whilst hunting dogs are not mentioned in your PSPO/dog fouling, please can you confirm that hunting dogs are NOT exempt?

The Public Spaces Protection Order states that there is an exemption as detailed below:

Nothing in this part applies to a person who - to the normal activities of a working dog, whilst the dog is working. This includes dogs that are being used for work in connection with emergency search and rescue, law enforcement and the work of Her Majesty's armed forces; and farm dogs that are being used to herd or drive animals;

The order as read does not specifically exempt hunting dogs but the question is whether hunting dogs are working dogs and that would be for a court to ultimately decide if any formal action was taken.
