All inspections of this car park in the last 3 years have been routine.

Result of inspection

5 October 2019 - coach bays need re-signing, back wall brambles need cut back, Ross map stand near Aldi vandalised no map in it.

17 December 2019 - opposite O2R machine 3 small potholes roughly 6 inches. 1 large pothole roughly 2 foot, white line faded.

3 July 2020 - coach bays need re-signing, handrails worn, vegetation - weeds throughout. Vegetation over bays needs trimming preventing usage of bays, lamp end brick missing and small metal part exposed.

1 April 2021 - faded coach bays, worn handrails.

13 July 2021 - uneven area by pay & display (P&D) machine start of potholes. Sunken area near coach bay, white lining - keep clear faded by P&D, rear access to property. Coaches Only faded, worn handrails, unsightly damaged old town council noticeboard, corner of Aldi wall brick missing metal exposed still.

12 October 2021 - small pothole by leisure centre and P&D machine, worn coach bay markings.

13 January 2022 - potholes, uneven surface near leisure centre / near lamp / P&D machine.

21 April 2022 - uneven surface by P&D machine, coach bay markings faded, M/C of motorcycle bay fading. Vegetation - boundary wall, sharp edges coping stone of toilets, brick missing off corner of wall right hand side of Brookend Street entrance.

20 July 2022 - potholes / uneven surface by lamp post and P&D machine. Worn coach bay markings, motorcycle area faded. Sharp edges coping stone of toilets, brick missing off corner of wall right hand side of Brookend Street entrance. Plastic barriers dumped by recycling point, tree stump near leisure centre.

6 October 2022 - potholes / uneven surface by lamp post and P&D machine. Worn coach markings, motorcycle area faded, sharp edges coping stone of toilets, brick missing off corner of wall right hand side of Brookend Street entrance.

Nature of works resulting from any inspection

In response to Questions 3 and 4, the following works have taken place and the costs to date are as follows:

2021 - tree survey (to review condition of trees on site) - removal of dead wood from Sycamore tree at a cost of £600.

Ground maintenance (to maintain vegetation growth on site, weed spraying and litter clearance) - 2020/21 unable to separate out the costs of the works on this car park from the costs of works undertaken on all car parks. During this financial year the costs were not costed as individual sites but grouped together for all car parks works.

2022/23 to date: £274

Car park inspections (overview of site conditions and to identify any safety issues). Investigation in regards to issues with stone boundary walling at Red Meadow car park adjoining Fontaine Court which required installation of temporary barrier to cordon off wall to allow removal of vegetation. Repair of 7 potholes around the P&D machine area carried out. Costs to date for these works: £556.
