Please provide the specific s149 EQA 2010 duties done and recorded in relation to Council Tax rises and how such have been assessed for those who hold protected characteristics.

The duty has been in place since 2011 but I only require the last three years of such reviews.

Please provide the specific s149 EQA 2010 duties done and recorded in relation to Council Tax rises and how such have been assessed for those who hold protected characteristics.

The duty has been in place since 2011 but I only require the last three years of such reviews.

A) The Service Area have advised that Council Tax is set based on the banding of the property that you live in. This is not a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, but the council has considered how this charge that affects all residents could impact those with protected characteristics differently. To mitigate this, the council has a number of schemes in place, including single person discount and council tax reduction, which are delivered on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on the application of the owner/occupier of the property.
