Response
How much money Herefordshire Council received for the coming winter 2022/23?
The confirmed allocation under the Household Support Fund for Herefordshire is for the period April to September 2022 and is for £1,329,601.78.
How it has been allocated?
It has been allocated as follows:
· Families with children entitled to free school meals: £15 per child per week of the school holidays - May half term and Summer
· Pensioners on low incomes (those on pension credit guarantee): £170 per household
· Support being provided through Third Party Organisations: 11 Voluntary and Community Organisations funded to support struggling households with essential household bills with a focus on food and energy costs.
How much of the fund has been allocated?
Funding allocated to date is approximately £1,297,952. The exact figure is dependent on final numbers to be confirmed from schools on food vouchers distributed to children entitled to free school meals.
How much of the funding is left for people on low incomes?
All of the funding is targeted on funding for people on low incomes, except for a small amount for administrative costs associated with the administration of the scheme.
