My questions under the Freedom of Information Act are:
1) Did your Environmental Health and Licensing for the Safety Advisory Group officers independently measure the noise levels at the venue?
If so what was their findings?
If they did not measure the noise levels did they register the organisers own measurements or just that they complied with the Noise Management Plan (NMP) schedule of monitoring?
2) Was there any monitoring of noise levels undertaken in the local residential areas?
3) Per the NMP, “any complaints and actions taken will be noted down along with our Noise Monitoring Form …… made available to Local Authority Staff on request.” What were the findings from these in terms of numbers of complaints and actions taken?

My questions under the Freedom of Information Act are:
1) Did your Environmental Health and Licensing for the Safety Advisory Group officers independently measure the noise levels at the venue?
A) The Service Area have advised that EHO officers attended the event and independently measured the noise levels at the actual venue and the 4 stages.
If so what was their findings?
A) Measurements inside venue were between 77-85Dbs, music and people noise.
Measurements outside the venue at the 4 recording sites within the local residential area were between 36-46Dbs. These noise levels had the Environmental surroundings contributing to the readings.
All measurements were within the excepted range and certainly were not excessive at the time of recording. The officers were happy with the measurements and how the noise levels at the festival were being managed.

2) Was there any monitoring of noise levels undertaken in the local residential areas?
A) Please see the response above for Q.1.
3) Per the NMP, “any complaints and actions taken will be noted down along with our Noise Monitoring Form …… made available to Local Authority Staff on request.” What were the findings from these in terms of numbers of complaints and actions taken?
A) The Service Area have advised this action is still ongoing; this has been requested and once that information is collated we will be able to provide an answer. The Pollution Team have investigated all complaints sent into the Council following the event, which have equated to approx. 25-30 complaints. A lot of people just wanted their complaint logged and anyone that wanted to converse was given that opportunity.
