We wish to enquire as to whether or not this property has a Premises Licence and if so, whether this is subject to any conditions.

We can confirm that this property does have a Premises Licence and it is subject to the following conditions:

An exhibition of a film; An indoor sporting event; A performance of live music; Any playing of recorded music; A performance of dance; Sale by retail of alcohol
Sunday-Thursday: 11:00 - 00:00
Friday-Saturday: 11:00 - 01:00
Provision of late night refreshment
Monday-Sunday: 23:00 - 05:00

Non-Standard Timings

Start of permitted hours until 01:00 on Friday Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Bank Holiday weekends, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day.
10:00 New Year's Eve to terminal hour New Year's Day.

Residents in the accommodation shall be entitled to be supplied with alcohol throughout the day or night.

General:
I have under taken my own risk assessment to take the following proposed steps:

the types of regulated entertainment proposed materially do no more than reinstate the normal pub entertainment that was previously unregulated as identified in b1 above.

No new steps have been identified in relation to the four licensing objectives save as above.

Prevention of crime and disorder:
no further risks have been identified which need to be addressed, save as below:

1. any person excising a security activity (as defined by paragraph 2(1) (a) of Schedule 2 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001) shall be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

2. Such a person will be employed at the premises at the discretion of the designated premises supervisor/ holder of the premises license.

3. Any person as defined in condition (1) will clearly display his name badge at all times whilst on duty.

4. No customers apparently carrying open bottles upon entry shall be admitted to the premises at any times the premises are open to the public.

5. Where CCTV is installed with recording facilities such recordings shall be retained for a period of 30 days and made available within a reasonable time upon request by the police.

6. Alcoholic and other drinks may not be removed from the premises in open containers save for consumption of any external area provided for that purpose.

The provision of a last entry time of 00:00 hours

Public safety:
no further risks have been identified which need to be addressed, save as below:

1. To comply with the reasonable requirements of the fire officer from time to time.
2. To comply with the reasonable requirements of the building control officer.

Agreed conditions

General
the Licensee shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the public and performers on the premises.

In undertaking any or all of the conditions, the Licensee shall comply with all reasonable requests of the police, the fire authority and the licensing authority's officers.

The approved arrangements, including the means of escape, the fire alarm and warning system, the firefighting equipment, the electrical installations and mechanical equipment shall be maintained in good condition and full working order.

Overcrowding
adequate systems shall be in place to control numbers of persons entering the premises to prevent overcrowding and alleviate crowd control problems. During an event the maximum permitted numbers shall be set by the fire authority. However, if the maximum number is not set by the fire authority a fire risk assessment will be required to ascertain the appropriate capacity.

Ventilation and heating
adequate means of ventilation and heating shall be provided at the premises whilst open to the public and shall be maintained in a proper working condition.

First aid
the Licensee shall ensure that an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and material is available on the premises.

Lighting
all parts of the premises shall be provided with adequate illumination during the whole time the premises are being used for any licensable activities. All routes of escape and all parts of the premises to which the public have access shall be provided with adequate and assured lighting from two independent supplies and systems.

Electrical installation
a current inspection certificate shall be held for all electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671 and bs5266-1.

Fire safety
the Licensee shall ensure that a fire risk assessment is carried out for the whole premises. He/she shall also ensure that all fire risks are minimised in accordance with current industry good practice and a full copy of this risk assessment is made available for inspection on request by an authorised officer.

The fire risk assessment shall cover the following areas;
a. Means of escape
b. Exit routes and exit notices
c. Exit doors
d. Disabled access and escape
e. Reporting of fires
f. Fire procedure
g. Fire logbook
h. Access for fire appliances
i. Firefighting equipment
j. Fire resistant furniture and fittings
k. Smoking
l. Explosive and flammable substances

The Licensee is responsible at all times for ensuring the safety of public in attendance in the event of fire or other such emergency.

Gas installations
the gas installation shall hold a current safety certificate signed by, a member of the council for registered gas installers (corgi).

Open containers
no open containers to be removed from the premises except for consumption in any external area provided for that purpose.

Prevention of public nuisance:
no further risks have been identified which need to be addressed, save as below:

1. Where appropriate, prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exists requesting the public respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and area quietly.

2. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises so as to cause a nuisance to nearby properties.

Noise and vibration
the Licensee shall ensure that noise and vibration does not emanate from the premises so as to cause a public nuisance

The Licensee shall be responsible for ensuring the local area is assessed, from time to time, for noise breakout from the premises during performances.

The outside area shall not be used for the consumption of alcohol after 23:30hrs.

Prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting the public to respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and the area quietly.

All windows to the entertainment area shall be kept closed during any performance.

All doors shall remain closed except for access/egress by persons to/from the entertainment area and shall at no time be propped open.

Protection of children from harm:
the restrictions set out in the licensing act 2003 will apply. No unusual or additional risks of harm to children have been identified.
No films or videos of any description will be shown so that they can be viewed by persons under the age of any applicable bbfc/local authority certification.
Children under the age of 16 shall not be permitted to enter the premises after 21:00 hours.

Agreed conditions

all staff should be aware of proof of age regulations and proof of age cards and/or citizen cards should be displayed on the premises.

Associated notices indicating restrictions on access by children shall be conspicuously displayed throughout the premises
proven methods shall be employed for the prevention of unlawful supply, consumption and use of alcohol, drugs and other products, which is illegal to sell to children.


Exhibition of films
no film shall be exhibited unless:
(i) it is a current news-reel; or
(ii) it has been passed by the British Board of Film Classification as a U, PG, 12a, 12,15,18 or restricted (18) film and no notice of objection to its exhibition has been given by the council; or
(iii) the film has been passed by the council as U*, PG*, 12a*, 12*, 15*, 18* or restricted (18)* with * being the name of the council.

Age restriction
age restrictions: when the program includes a film in the 12, 15 or 18 category no person under the age of 12, 15 or 18 as appropriate shall be admitted to any part of the programme.

No adult entertainment or services or activities must take place at the premises

(Adult Entertainment includes, but is not restricted to, such entertainment or services which would generally include topless bar staff, striptease, lap-table, or pole-dancing, performances involving feigned violence or horrific incidents, feigned or actual sexual acts or fetishism, or entertainment involving strong and offensive language).
