I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please provide the most recent available data held by the Local Authority in relation to primary-aged pupils (typically ages 4–11), specifically:
1) The total number of primary-aged pupils currently known to the Local Authority.
2) The number of primary-aged pupils currently on a reduced timetable.
3) The number of primary-aged pupils who are currently electively home educated (EHE).
4) The number of primary-aged pupils who are not currently on a school roll.
5) The number of primary-aged pupils currently receiving alternative provision.
If possible, please provide this information as of the latest complete term or dataset available, and clearly indicate the date to which the data relates.

Answer: 11,218
2) The number of primary-aged pupils currently on a reduced timetable.
Answer: 19
3) The number of primary-aged pupils who are currently electively home educated (EHE).
Answer: 145
4) The number of primary-aged pupils who are not currently on a school roll.
Answer: 22
5) The number of primary-aged pupils currently receiving alternative provision.
Answer: 71
If possible, please provide this information as of the latest complete term or dataset available, and clearly indicate the date to which the data relates.
Answer: The Service Area have advised: Figures include primary pupils of statutory school age, that is aged 5 years and over as at 31/08/2025. Figures represent pupils attending a maintained school or academy plus any children known to the local authority who are in receipt of elective home education plus and children known to the local authority in receipt of alternative provision education. Children attending schools in the independent sector are not included. Dual registered pupils have been counted once to avoid duplication. Data reflects a snapshot as at 15 Jan 20, which is the date of the statutory spring school census.
