1. How many units of social housing that your Council own/manage are currently void/vacant;

Herefordshire Council does not have a social housing stock. All social housing within the county is owned and managed by a number of Registered Housing Providers (social landlords).

A. What % of your social housing portfolio does this equate to;

Not Applicable.

B. Over what period are these voids (i.e. when did the first property become void and when was the most recent);

Not Applicable.

C. What are the reasons for these voids; and

Not Applicable.

D. When do you expect these properties to be brought back into use.

Not Applicable.

2. How many units of private housing that your Council own/manage are currently void/vacant;

Herefordshire Council currently manages a number of private owned housing units that are used as temporary accommodation. As of 25th April 2024 (date report provided) nine of these units were void/vacant.

A. What % of your private housing portfolio does this equate to;

6.2%

B. Over what period are these voids (i.e. when did the first property become void and when was the most recent);

Earliest was 21/02/24; most recent was 17/04/24.

C. What are the reasons for these voids; and

Minor void/turnaround works with no major works reported. Work to be completed includes gas/electrical checks; general building maintenance checks so properties meet ready to let criteria. In addition works around matching applicants to accommodation.

D. When do you expect these properties to be brought back into use.

Earliest expected back in use on 26/04/24; latest one expected on 09/05/24 (these dates may be subject to change).
