I am seeking information about recycling. I would like to know:
1. whether you currently offer kerbside/household flexible plastics recycling;
2. the date on which you will begin offering kerbside/household flexible plastics recycling, if collections do not currently take place;
3. the date on which you began offering kerbside/household flexible plastics recycling, if collections currently take place;
4. whether you currently offer soft plastics recycling for non-household properties;
5. the date on which you will begin offering flexible plastics recycling for non-household properties, if collections do not currently take place;
6. the date on which you began offering flexible plastics recycling for non-household properties, if collections currently take place;
7. the total tonnage of flexible plastics collected for recycling, if collections currently take place and such a figure is available;
8. the estimated tonnage of flexible plastics collected for landfill, if such an estimate is available.
Additionally, it would be useful if you could say whether there are any restrictions on the flexible plastic which you collect (e.g. "the flexible plastic must be see-through", "no crisp packets" etc.).

Answer: No. Herefordshire Council does not currently offer a kerbside collection service for household flexible plastics recycling.
2. the date on which you will begin offering kerbside/household flexible plastics recycling, if collections do not currently take place;
Answer: No confirmed implementation date has been agreed at this time. Therefore, the information is not held.
3. the date on which you began offering kerbside/household flexible plastics recycling, if collections currently take place;
Answer: This is not applicable.
4. whether you currently offer soft plastics recycling for non-household properties;
Answer: No. Herefordshire Council does not currently offer a flexible plastics recycling collection service for non-household properties.
5. the date on which you will begin offering flexible plastics recycling for non-household properties, if collections do not currently take place;
Answer: No confirmed implementation date has been agreed at this time. Therefore, the information is not held.
6. the date on which you began offering flexible plastics recycling for non-household properties, if collections currently take place;
Answer: This is not applicable.
7. the total tonnage of flexible plastics collected for recycling, if collections currently take place and such a figure is available;
Answer: None. As the Council does not currently collect flexible plastics for recycling, the tonnage collected for recycling is zero.
8. the estimated tonnage of flexible plastics collected for landfill, if such an estimate is available.
Answer: The Council does not hold a separate estimate for the tonnage of flexible plastics collected for landfill. Flexible plastics form part of the residual waste stream and are not separately recorded. Less than 1% of the total of residual waste collected by Herefordshire Council goes to landfill.
