I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information: The number of complaints made by motorists to the council after road defects damaged their tyres up to the last five calendar years.

The number of complaints made by motorists to the council after road defects damaged their tyres up to the last five calendar years.

The Service Area have confirmed that we do not record data specifically relating solely to tyre damage, data is recorded as claims resulting to damage to a motor vehicle.
We can confirm that between 01/01/2019 and 31/12/2023, we received 904 highways damage claims involving motor vehicles.
