This is a freedom of information request. Please provide:
1) How many parking permits are currently issued to Herefordshire Council Councillors?
2) The terms and conditions provided to Councillors on how and where they can be used.
3) The policy document that allows these permits to be issued to Councillors.
4) The maximum number of permits issued to each Councillor.
5) The number of Councillors that have more that one permit.
6) The number of Councillors that a have permit that is valid for more than one vehicle.

This is a freedom of information request. Please provide:
1) How many parking permits are currently issued to Herefordshire Council Councillors?
Answer: 53.
2) The terms and conditions provided to Councillors on how and where they can be used.
Answer: Please see the attached Discretionary Permit (Councillors) - Template Letter, which contains the terms and conditions requested.
3) The policy document that allows these permits to be issued to Councillors.
Answer: This information is not held. The Service Area have advised, whilst not a policy document as such, the issuing of parking permits is designed to ensure Councillors attending formal council business are able to park in council owned car parks. For all travel related to Herefordshire Council work, Councillors are entitled to claim travel expenses. With 53 Councillors, the processing of these expenses can be a substantial task. To reduce the resource and financial burden of this process Councillors are issued with a parking permit, such that they do not need to submit their parking expenses.
4) The maximum number of permits issued to each Councillor.
Answer: The Service Area have advised 1 permit is issued to each Councillor, which can have a number of registration marks.
5) The number of Councillors that have more that one permit.
Answer: 0.
6) The number of Councillors that a have permit that is valid for more than one vehicle.
Answer: 31.
