Case reference FOI2022/00111

Published 11 February 2022

Request

Regarding the temporary traffic lights on Holme Lacy Road outside nursery:

Q1. Could you please tell me when these traffic lights will be removed.

Q2. What is the reason for them being there?

Q3. Why, if there is an issue, has it not been resolved?

Q4. And what is the cost to the tax payer?

Response

Q1. The remediation works and subsequent removal of the lights is to be completed by March 11th 2022.

Q2. During a storm event last year, flooding caused damage to the structure of the carriageway requiring one lane to be closed for safety reasons.

Q3. A detailed design process was undertaken for the repairs. The site is also located nearby multiple Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) requiring an environmental analysis and screening process. This process has now been completed and works are currently in the delivery stage.

Q4. The figure for the provision of the traffic lights up to 31/01/2022 is £13,358.40. This is the latest information held.
