I am writing to make a Freedom of Information Request. Can you please provide the following information in relation to care home fees.

1) Confirm current care home rates.

2) ROC %.

3) ROO %.

4) ROC amount.

5) ROO amount.

6) If LHA method or percentage yield method is used.

7) If another method other than these is used, if so what?

8) Why the LA chose the method they did and why they discounted the other methods?

9) Budget target/allowance and budget spent in relation to adult social care, particularly care homes.

Can you please provide the following information in relation to care home fees.

As such we consider this information to be exempt under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 because it is reasonably accessible to you via other means. Please take this letter as a refusal notice under S17 of the Act.

Answer: The Service Area have provided the following data based on the 2025-26 budget and year-to-date spend at end of November 2025.

 

For care homes, the data relates to long-term individual (spot) residential or nursing placements.
