I am analysing trends in local authority expenditure data in England. I have a query regarding annual expenditure data, specifically annual outturns of Food safety expenditure as a spending line of Environmental and Regulatory service expenditure I am looking at data from the PLDR Which analyses data from the RO5 I see Herefordshire frequently reports 0 expenditure for this service and I was hoping to gain some information for why this might be. For example does the LA not spend money on food safety services, if so how do they operate. Alternatively are food safety expenditure data reported in another spending line perhaps? Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated, just to inform my analysis of how to treat these 0 data.
A: The Service Area have advised that there is in fact annual spend on food safety, and the data contained within your request is therefore inaccurate. We are unable to investigate this further as the Council has a policy that advises staff not to click on unsolicited web-links for reasons of cyber security, and so we cannot click the link provided in your request.
