Request

This is an information request relating to home workers at the council. Please include the following information:

* The number of staff that currently work employed by the council that are contractual home workers Please also include the following information:

* The number of contractual home workers employed by the department in each of the last three financial years: 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 By "contractual home workers" I mean employees who have it written into their contracts that their normal working arrangements are to work from home.

Finally, please also include the following information:

• The daily occupancy rate of the council offices during the following months: September, October, November (2022)

The occupancy rate could be either the number of desks or workspaces booked per day through a hot-desking system as a percentage of the total number of desks, or it could be the percentage of eligible card-holders who have access to the council offices who have access it during this period

By "contractual home workers" I mean employees who have it written into their contracts that their normal working arrangements are to work from home.

Herefordshire Council does not have any employees who are contracted home workers, and has not done so in any of the last three financial years.

Finally, please also include the following information:

The daily occupancy rate of the council offices during the following months: September, October, November (2022)

The occupancy rate could be either the number of desks or workspaces booked per day through a hot-desking system as a percentage of the total number of desks, or it could be the percentage of eligible card-holders who have access to the council offices who have access it during this period

The total number of staff entering council buildings during this period was as follows:

September 2022 - 2455

October 2022 - 2252

November 2022 - 2337

Please note that the total number includes council staff, Hoople Ltd staff, contactors and tenants. We are unable to breakdown the total figure to just council staff. The figures are for the following council buildings only:1A, Union Street, Number 8, Blueschool House, Bromyard multi-agency office, crematorium, Friars Street, HARC, Hereford library, Kington multi-agency office, Master's House, Old Chapel, Plough Lane, Ross-on-Wye library, Town Hall - it does not include some libraries and children's centres because figures for those buildings are not recorded.
