I would like to ask the following: How many tonnes of food waste has your council collected in
2021,
2022,
2023,
2024,
2025 and
2026?
Please can yearly figures be broken down by month. If monthly figures are not easily available, yearly totals would be fine. If your council only began collecting food waste recently, for example as part of the government's Simpler Recycling changes, please provide figures from when collections started. If possible, please provide this in a spreadsheet format (Excel or CSV).

Answer: Please see attached spreadsheet for 2025 and 2026 commercial food waste tonnages. Please note, TBC denotes that the data for those months has not been verified yet.
Please note, from 2021 to 2024 there were no food waste services in place. Also, the service area has advised there is no household waste service.
