Case reference FOI2022/00796

Published 12 July 2022

Request

With reference to Widemarsh Street's pedestrianisation, are you able to tell me please:

Q1. How many complaints there have been for trips in Widemarsh Street since 2011

Q2. The value of the claims paid out by HC for related trips?

Q3. The cost of the pedestrianisation scheme.

Response

Q1. How many complaints there have been for trips in Widemarsh Street since 2011

Please note that data prior to 2013 is not held. Balfour Beatty Living Places entered into contract in September of 2013 and since then, there have been 7 formal complaints.

Q2. The value of the claims paid out by HC for related trips?

No money has been paid out as of 11th July 2022.

Q3. The cost of the pedestrianisation scheme.

The total cost of the Hereford City Centre Enhancements project was circa £1m which included the Widemarsh Street Refurbishment. Due to how the data is recorded it is not possible to split the costs for just Widemarsh Street.
