I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please provide the following information relating to penalty notices issued for unauthorised school absences within your local authority area:
* The total number of penalty notices issued for unauthorised school absences during the Autumn 2024 term and Spring 2025 term.
* The total monetary value (£) of those penalty notices issued during each of the above terms.
* If available, the total amount (£) collected from those penalty notices during the same periods. If the information is held in a term-by-term breakdown, please provide it by term.
If not, a monthly breakdown for the period September 2024 to April 2025 would be acceptable. Please provide the information in spreadsheet or table format if possible. If any part of this request exceeds the cost limit, please let me know how it could be refined to fall within the limit.
