I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:

• Does the Local Authority currently purchase live-in care packages? Live-in care is 24-hour care in a patient's home, living with the patient.

• What is the average price for live-in care packages?

• Please can you provide the name of the commissioner who commissions home care in the Local Authority.

• Is there an open framework for us to apply for spot purchasing or an approved provider?

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:

• Does the Local Authority currently purchase live-in care packages? Live-in care is 24-hour care in a patient's home, living with the patient.

The Council does purchase live in carers. There are a small number approximately less than 5 live in care packages.

• What is the average price for live-in care packages?

£1,550 per week.

• Please can you provide the name of the commissioner who commissions home care in the Local Authority.

• Is there an open framework for us to apply for spot purchasing or an approved provider?

The primary Home Care framework is a closed framework.

The Council have developed a secondary framework for home care for CQC registered providers to become an approved provider in response to market conditions there will be opportunities for new providers to join this framework.
