I am doing some research into homelessness amongst people who are granted refugee status in the UK. I would like to request the following information under Freedom of Information.
The number of people who presented as homeless where the reason for the homeless presentation was recorded as “Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support” in 2023.
A: The number of applications received by Herefordshire Council between 01/01/2023 and 31/12/2023 where the reason given for homelessness was recorded as “Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support” was 0.
The number of people who presented as homeless where the reason for the homeless presentation was recorded as “Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support” so far in 2024 broken down by month.
A: The number of applications received by Herefordshire Council between 01/01/2024 and to date (11/10/24) where the reason given for homelessness was recorded as “Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support” is 0.
Does your Council have an estimate of the number of people who will approach you for housing/homeless support between today’s date and the end of 2024 where the reason will be “Required to leave accommodation provided by Home Office as asylum support”.
