As a freedom of information request please could you provide, for each financial year from 2019-20 to 2023-24:
• The name of contractors/companies you have contracts with to undertake pothole repair work.
• The value of the contract between you and each above contractor/company over last three years for pothole repair work, broken down by year.
• The number of instances where each contractor has repaired a pothole, or had a subcontractor repair a pothole
• The number of instances when you required above referenced contractors to remediate poor pothole repair work carried out by their contractors in the past three years.
• The amount of money you have claimed back from each above contractor/company over the last three years because of pothole remediation/poor quality repair work, broken down by year.
• The number of instances where above referenced contractors/companies have had to repair their own pothole repair work (or pothole repair work undertaken by another contractor/company ) within six months of the date of carrying out the original pothole repair work, for the past three years, broken down by year.
If you do not have data for the period requested, please provide it from the earliest available financial year to the most current available at the point of production. If financial year is not available, please provide calendar years instead.

As a freedom of information request please could you provide, for each financial year from 2019-20 to 2023-24:
• The name of contractors/companies you have contracts with to undertake pothole repair work.
A) Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP) are the only contractor for pothole repairs for Herefordshire Council.
• The value of the contract between you and each above contractor/company over last three years for pothole repair work, broken down by year.
A) Please see the value for pothole repair works for each financial year below. Please note these numbers are for pothole repairs only and do not include other defect repairs.
2021/22 = £1,757,276.88
2022/23 = £1,784,901.06
2023/24 = £2,861,753.37
• The number of instances where each contractor has repaired a pothole, or had a subcontractor repair a pothole
A) Please see the total number of pothole repair figures for each financial year below:
2021/22 = 27,409
2022/23 = 26,071
2023/24 = 31,954
• The number of instances when you required above referenced contractors to remediate poor pothole repair work carried out by their contractors in the past three years.
A) Zero
• The amount of money you have claimed back from each above contractor/company over the last three years because of pothole remediation/poor quality repair work, broken down by year.
A) This information is not held. BBLP are responsible for maintaining the highway to the specification laid out by Herefordshire Council. If a defect needs further repair due to carriageway condition, weather impact, deterioration of carriageway due to heavy vehicles or large traffic volume, we attend as needed to maintain the integrity of the network. As we are not paid per pothole repair, it is not data we capture.
• The number of instances where above referenced contractors/companies have had to repair their own pothole repair work (or pothole repair work undertaken by another contractor/company ) within six months of the date of carrying out the original pothole repair work, for the past three years, broken down by year.
