  1. I would like to request, under the Freedom of Information Act, the following information regarding the Household Support Fund for Herefordshire.

    1. The total number of applications received for the first round of the Household Support Fund, running from October 2021 to March 2022. Please could you provide a breakdown showing the number of successful and unsuccessful applications. Please could you, if possible, provide reasons for why applications were unsuccessful.

    2. The total number of applications received for the second round of the Household Support Fund, running from April 2022 to September 2022. Please could you provide a breakdown showing the number of successful and unsuccessful applications. Please could you, if possible, provide reasons for why applications were unsuccessful.

    3. The Grant Usage of the first round of the Household Support Fund. Please could you provide data for:

    a. The number and £ value of total awards provided

    b. The number and £ value of total awards split by household composition

    c. The number and £ value of total awards split by category, such as Energy and water, Food, Essentials linked to energy and water, Wider essentials, Housing costs, and any other categories

    d. any other available data regarding the Household Support Fund

    Please could you provide the information in the form of an CSV or other spreadsheet file.

  2. Please provide a full copy of the last 'Internal Audit' of Children's Direct Payments. I understand that some aspect's such as officers' names may be redacted. I wish to see a full copy of the audit, not a summary that may have been provided at an Audit Committee. This report would normally be obtained from the councils Chief Internal Auditor, which may be an internal service or may be provided by external service.

  4. Please can you supply the below, in Excel or spreadsheet format, for the last five years up to present records (2018-now). I am happy for this to be supplied as 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/present

    How many taxis are licensed to this company?

    What is the registered address of the company, what is the address from which the business operates?

    When does the current license expire?

    How is an application for renewal dealt with and who decides if a renewal is approved?

  7. 1. For each calendar year since January 2018, the total spend on independent special school places for EHCP recipients.

    2. For each year (as above) the total paid in placement fees to each independent special school. Please can this include the name of the school and their postcode, whether they were S41 registered and how many EHCP recipients were placed there.

    3. The same as Q 1 but for non-maintained special schools.

    4. The same as Q 2 but for non-maintained special schools.

    5. Did the LA passport the SSG funds to special schools as well as mainstream schools?

    6. If it was passed on, what methodology was used to calculate the amount of money passported to special schools? And the total amount passed on?

    7. If the LA did not pass the SSG on to special schools, what did they do with the money retained?

  8. Warm Banks have been described as 'warm spaces' to provide heated sites for those unable to afford their energy bills', which will be rolled out through the winter as a response to the energy crisis of 2022.

    In regards to this definition please supply the following information:

    1. Has the council approved plans for any council-run 'warm banks', 'warm spaces', or locations where people can access warmth as a result of the energy crisis at no cost since April 6th 2022? If so, how many?

    2. How is your authority funding or intending to fund these warm banks? (i.e. were any grants sought, or is the council providing grants to third-sector organisations to do so)

    3. If the council has approved any warm banks or similar, did the authority acquire grants in order to fund them and - if so - what were the names of those grants?

    4. If there are warm banks in the local authority area, how many are run by the council and how many are run by external organisations?

    5. If the council has approved any warm banks or similar, what is or will be the eligibility criteria to access them?

    6. How much funding has been approved for providing 'warm banks' or similar since April 6th 2022?

    7. If there are warm banks operating or set to operate in the local authority area - how many of these will operate or do operate from within council-owned buildings? Can you state which buildings they are?

  10. Staff absence scheme for schools. I write to request information regarding the Authority's staff absence scheme for schools. Please kindly provide the following:

    • Does the Authority provide a staff absence scheme for schools?
    • If no, has the authority historically provided a scheme for schools and when did this cease?
    • If yes, is the scheme outsourced to another provider or delivered by the Authority?
    • If the scheme if outsourced to another provider, which provider is this and when does this agreement expire? Who is responsible for the management of the scheme within the Authority?

    If the scheme is provided by the authority, can you please provide details of the scheme including:

    • Daily benefit amount reimbursed for each category of staff
    • Waiting period applied to each claim
    • Are there any exclusions to the scheme? If so, please provide details of this
    • Is the scheme open to Academies?
    • How is the price of the scheme determined for each school?
    • Who is responsible for the management of the scheme within the Authority?
    • Number of schools participating in the scheme
    • 2021 total contributions made to the scheme and 2021 total claims payments made from the scheme
