  8. This is a question that relates to unaccompanied children seeking asylum in the UK who you took responsibility for and then you had a duty of care towards them when they turned 18.

    1. At the start of the 2022 academic year (i.e. Sept/Oct 2022) how many of these young adults did you provide funding for living expenses (accommodation or general living expenses) while attending a university degree course in the UK?

    2. In the 2021/22 financial year what was the cost of these living expenses to your authority?

    3. As of the start of the 2022 academic year (i.e. Sept/Oct 2022) please state the number of these young adults you were funding to attend which universities in the UK. Please provide a list showing the name of the institution and the number you are funding at each institution?

    I have looked extensively on your web-site and like many issues involving the Local Authority it would appear that this information is missing or being kept secret.

    Can you please make sure that the citizens of Herefordshire are fully informed and protected by not only complying with this FOI but by making sure that this information is publicly available and also available in an easy to read format so that disabled people are no longer disadvantaged and discriminated against by your inability to have due regard to your public sector equality duty (PSED).

    Can you also confirm the name and position of the public servant responsible for failing to ensure that this policy is publically available and the council are complying with their PSED
