  3. I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from Herefordshire Council's Transport Department. Please may you provide me with:

    The councils 2021/2022, 2022/2023 & 2023/2024 public transport budget and spend. Could this be broken down into spending for each transport category:

    Support Bus spend (Subsidised Bus), Commercial Bus spend, Home-to-School spend, SEN Transport spend, Community Transport spend, Student Transport spend, DRT spend (Demand Responsive Transport), Dial-a-Ride spend, NEMT spend (Non-Emergency Medical Transport) and any others I have missed.

    1. A list (public names, telephone numbers and emails) of black-led organisations, groups, networks, forums, or entities that applied for funding from 1 January 2019 to 1 January 2023

    2. A list (public names, telephone numbers and emails) of black-led organisations, groups, networks, forums, or entities that secured funding from 1 January 2019 to 1 January 2023

    An organisation is Black Led if:

    Their Management Committee or Board has at least 75% of representation from people of African or African Caribbean Descent and;

    At least 50% of their paid staff team are African or African Caribbean people with representation at all levels of the organisation and;

    They provide services for or work on behalf of African and Caribbean people.

    For clarification this request relates to Herefordshire Council funding only.

  5. Are John Masefield High School due to receive section 106 funding for 5 other housing developments in Ledbury? If so, please could you supply details of the developments and how much will be received.

    Please could you list all the housing developments in Ledbury since 2015, the amounts received, how the money has been allocated and the rationale and reasoning behind these decisions.

    Please could you provide the final decisions behind the allocation of the funding received by Herefordshire Council from which Ceri Morgan initially promised John Masefield a new science block and the rationale for these decisions.

    Please could you also explain the rationale behind awarding considerable funding (about £2million) from the same source to JKHS for a new science block before decisions were made about other schools.

  6. I am writing to ask for your assistance with the below FOI request pertaining to data that we believe you hold.

    For the purposes of this request, the time frames to be considered are:

    - For the school year 2018/2019

    - For the school year 2019/2020

    - For the school year 2020/2021

    - For the school year 2021/2022

    - For the school year 2022/2023 so far, up to and including the day of your response to this inquiry.

    1. Broken down by the above timeframes, how many times have pupils been found with offensive, or potentially offensive, weapons on school premises within your local authority area? This includes being in possession of an article with a blade or point, or corrosive substance.

    2. Can you please provide a breakdown of the weapons found and the age of the child involved in each case?

    3. Please detail in each case, if the case was reported to police?

  7. I am interested in issues of race in the built environment.

    For the last year up to date, but inclusive of information and documents from work which may have begun before this period and is still being pursued by the council.

    (For example, a project to identify monument may have begun in 2020, but the list compiled from this project may still be used by the council now)

    1. Could you please provide any list or review/research/report/survey of locations (streets/buildings/parks), or public art (such as statues), plaques, commemorations, graves, memorials that the council has produced in relation to slavery, colonialism, empire/British Empire, racism, white supremacy, Black Lives Matter, decolonising, racial justice.

    In question form: "What in the built environment has the organisation, or a group working on its behalf, identified as being linked to racism, slavery, colonialism: that is, contested history?"

    2. Could you please provide details of what being done to highlight, reinterpret, re-display, or rename aspects of the environment in the council area identifying in part 1 of this request

    In question form: "What work (such as adding interpretation, or information boards, or plaques close to contested monuments) has been undertaken by the council to address these legacies?

    3. If applicable, can you please provide information on what is being done to address issues of slavery, colonialism, empire/British Empire, racism, white supremacy, Black Lives Matter, decolonising, racial justice in council museums?

    For example, what information boards have been added, what has been taken off display or put on display, what new plaques have been erected?

    4. The same as for part 3, but can you provide information on how council libraries have addressed these issues.

    For example, have any books been specifically banned or removed from the library? Has a system of trigger warnings been established for sensitive topics?

    (This can be broad, I do not need an full check of all items in the library; please do not get bogged won in this if it is likely to go over the limit).

    5. For the above work to address contested history, can you please provide information any grants received by the council to pursue this work, or any payments or grants made by the council to pursue this work (for example, to a local anti-racism group tasked with identifying contested history).

    6. Can you provide information on any schools in the council area that have applied to change their name in relation to issues of contested history.

  8. I would like to know how many notices of intended prosecution were served in 2022 on drivers detected breaking the speed limit by the Belmont Road fixed speed camera in Hereford, and how this compares with 2021.

    I would also like to know how many of those drivers opted to pay the resulting fine, and also what the top speed detected by the camera in each year was.

    I would like the above information to be provided to me in electronic form.
