1. The number of illegal products of animal origin (POAO) seized and quantities of each seizure by weight, broken down by the following calendar years: 2019,2020,2021,2022,2023 and 2024 to date.
2. The total weight of illegal POAO seized (voluntary and formal), broken down by the following calendar years: 2019,2020,2021,2022,2023 and 2024 to date. Please further break down the data by providing: - Location of seizure (i.e restaurant, shop, factory, abattoir) - Type of POAO (i.e meat, fish, diary, etc.)
- Reason for seizures ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLARIFICATION - what the Requester means by illegal products: All products that breach legal requirements. This could be illegal imports, illegal slaughter , products not being what they clam to be etc. My request then goes on to ask for a further breakdown of reasons why the goods are seized. Please then state the reason for the breach.

2022 = 1 Voluntary seizure

A: The Service Area are unable to answer this question, as they do not record the weight.
Please further break down the data by providing:
- Location of seizure (i.e restaurant, shop, factory, abattoir)
A: Two were relating to a catering establishment and one was a retail establishment.
- Type of POAO (i.e meat, fish, diary, etc.)
A: One related to dairy and cooked meat products, one was meat and fish products and the other was cooked meat products.
- Reason for seizures
A: Two were relating to inadequate temperature control and the other related to out of date food.
